The Essentials
The fundamental beliefs and principles that guide every project, whether I’m producing a track or transforming a business.
to create, highlight, and do remarkable things that uplift + inspire others.
Core
Values
I finished writing my personal mission statement and core values during a very challenging period of my life. It was a season of failure, learning, and growth. It turns out that doing a lot of things the wrong way, plus some real soul searching, produces a whole lot of clarity about what matters most. These are the five. I use them the same way I coach leadership teams to use theirs: to decide who I work with and what I say yes to.

01
#WORDS MATTER.
My word carries weight in every context. I use it to build trust, tell the truth, and I never withhold a kind thought.- I follow through. People know they can count on me when I give my word.
- I speak with candor, especially when it's hard. That's when the truth matters most.
- I compliment, acknowledge, and express gratitude on purpose, and often.
- I admit it when I'm wrong. I stand my ground when I believe I'm right.
02
#BETTER, NOT "BEST."
Progress compounds and perfection blocks it. I try to get a little better every day.- I treat feedback as free coaching, and I ask for it before I think I need it.
- I learn out loud. I share what I'm figuring out while I'm still figuring it out.
- Failure is tuition. I pay it, learn the lesson, and keep moving forward.
- I finish and ship. A half-finished masterpiece helps no one.
03
#ALWAYS ADD VALUE
Every project, meeting, and relationship is a chance to give. I leave every situation better than I found it.- I give more than I take.
- I lead from whatever seat I'm in. Titles are optional.
- I show up prepared and bring something to the table: an idea, a question, a hand.
- I look for hidden potential in people and projects, and I invest in it before it's obvious.
04
#FIND THE POSITIVE
There is a lot of good out in the world. I look for what makes people and projects special, and I find ways to highlight it.- I'm an optimist with my eyes open. I see the problem clearly, then I look for the opening in it.
- I catch people doing something right and tell them, specifically.
- I remember that the loudest voice in the room rarely represents the whole room.
- I practice gratitude. I make time to sit with what's good, then I shine a light on it.
05
#FOLLOW YOUR COMPASS
I know my true north and I walk toward it, path or no path.- I know who I am, and I'm the same person in the studio, in front of a leadership team, and at my kitchen table.
- I have a gift of discernment, and I trust my reads.
- I'm a map maker. I imagine the life I want, then I design it, then I live it.
- I check my heading and course correct often.
Operating Principles
Listen First, Create Second
Understanding > AssumptionGreat solutions come from deep understanding. Whether mixing a track or transforming a business, listening is the foundation.
Structure Enables Freedom
Systems = ScaleThe best creativity happens within thoughtful constraints. Systems give innovation a channel.
Measure What Matters
Data > OpinionFrom decibels to dollars, objective data guides better decisions than subjective opinions.
Iterate Relentlessly
Progress > PerfectionPerfection is a process, not a destination. Every mix, every system, every strategy can be refined.
Harmony Over Volume
Alignment is KeyIn music and business, the loudest voice is not always right. Seek balance, alignment, and resonance.
